The school currently has an enrolment of approximately 375 students that form a tight knit community. Students are organised in Foundation, Year 1/2, Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 classrooms. Each area of the school is overseen by a PLC Leader and teachers work as a PLC to plan and implement our engaging curriculum.
We are proud of our history and this is reflected in the mixture of buildings from different eras, with our main buildings (Block A & B) turning 50 last year and our most recent BER (Senior) building turning 10. Whether you are in the original or the new buildings, all our classrooms and teaching spaces are large and extremely well equipped and resourced. We are also proud that our students have a vast area in which to play, with many playgrounds, open areas, passive sitting areas and shaded spaces for students to enjoy.
We encourage all parents and guardians to take an active role in the education of their child/ren. When we are in Covid normal, our staff welcome parent involvement in the classrooms and on a range of school activities, including excursions and sporting events. We do ask our parents and guardians to assist in their child’s learning and success at school by reinforcing; that students should be at school every day, on time, in full school uniform and have all of the equipment required for a successful school day (including a healthy lunch!), oh and a little nightly reading never hurt anyone!
As always in a tight community, if at any time you require assistance, or would like to chat about your child’s progress at school or anything else, please feel free to contact the office and they will be happy to assist or direct you to the appropriate person.
I look forward to meeting you.
